Real Wedding | Meadowood Modern Classic White and Black Soiree

When I met Katlin and her mom Karol, they were so warm, genuine, stylish, and trusting.  From the moment Kelly of A Savvy Event brought them to me, we just clicked on all cylinders.  We talked on and on about patterns, textures, movement, and the guest experience.  What resulted from hours of laughter and good conversation was a wedding that would different than most Napa weddings. Sure, it would be outside on a golf course at the uber relaxed Meadowood but it wasn't going to be some casual Napa affair. Oh no!

Katlin and her dapper groom Nawder wanted black tie formality with a modern edge.  And the result --- look for yourself - is all that and so much more.  This Meadowood wedding is featured on our website but take a look at more details designed so wonderfully by Kelly McLeskey-Dolata my Oh So Inspired partner and the inspiring designer from so many of my favorite weddings.  I'm just so honored that I was able to design the flowers because this was a wedding that one would not want to miss out on.

Newsworthy | What's Your Style Part III

There are four major styles when it comes to wedding and floral decor. This next one is formal, traditional and classic.  Flowers that you would associate with formal, traditional and classic tend to be fluffy, rich, neutral colors. Though I'm sure many of you will argue that deep rich colors can also be formal and classic.  Think tall grand arrangement, candlesticks, candelabras, mercury cups, dupionique luxe linens, gold chiavari chairs, soothing wash over the ballroom, crystal or metallic accents, grand fondant cakes.  Are you getting the picture?

Here is a few examples of formal traditional classic florals!
