You would think after 700 + + weddings that someone would ask for a wedding using "Lilac and Champagne " colors. Nope - not a single request and so here I am dreaming about this color combination but unable to bring it to life. So if you wouldn't mind a little daydreaming on my part, I'm going for it since it's been years since I saw that Martha Stewart Wedding magazine article featuring that "to die for" floral wedding cake in pale butter yellows with purple accents.
This updated Lilac and Champagne inspiration board includes hints of mauve, poppy yellow, boysenberry, and amber hues. I imagine that if I could do this wedding it would be at Beltane Ranch in Kenwood. It's been a dream of mine to create a wedding that complements the signature butter yellow paint color that awashes the exterior of Beltane's guest house. Given Beltane's incredible gardens, a floral botanical patterns(all the rage!) would be a fitting and whimsical detail but you have to a little classic Champagne coupes for guests to use as they toast the bride and groom. Let's not forget to dress the bridesmaid in Jenny Yoo flowing gowns in hues of grapes. Since it's about natural beauty, the bouquet should be poetic like this one from Martha Stewart's website.
